Search Engine Land Named Best Blog Of 2013 At US Search Awards

Following the success of the European and UK Search Awards, the inaugural US Search Awards was held in association with PubCon in Las Vegas, Nevada last week week.  Leading search marketing individuals, organizations, and agencies were recognized at the ceremony last Wednesday night as twenty-two awards were presented for various categories. Categories included Best Use of Search in Retail, Finance, and Travel/Leisure, Local Campaigns, SEO, Management Software, Agency, and Search Personality of the Year.

Search Engine Land was awarded Best Blog of 2013 where Director of Audience Development, Elisabeth Osmeloski and Contributing Editor, Greg Finn accepted the award. Published by Third Door Media, Search Engine Land has been covering search engine marketing news and expert analysis since 2006.

“We never set out to win awards, but it’s really great to see the team and our industry coverage get recognized like this,” said Matt McGee, Editor-In-Chief of Search Engine Land. “What makes it even more special is that the judges are many of the people in the search industry that we respect the most. So I’m super happy to know that they appreciate how hard our staff and contributors work to share search news, analysis, how-to features and more. Great thanks to all of the judges and everyone involved with the US Search Awards!”

Fifteen search industry experts judged the event. Amongst them were Duane Forrester of Bing, Rand Fishkin of Moz, Mel Carson of Delightful Communications, Bruce Clay of Bruce Clay Inc., Bryan Eisenberg of UseTheData, and Julie Joyce of Link Fish Media.
